Music Licensing

Thanks for your interest in using my music for your project! You can respect my copyright by licensing my music in the following way:

  • For micro licensing you can do it all fairly quickly from my website for $20 or $50 for indie films. Follow these steps:
    1. APPLY FOR YOUR LICENSE HERE and I'll get to work on building your License Agreement. There are no documents to sign.

    2. PAY FOR THE LICENSE HERE and you'll immediately receive a receipt and unofficial license as a placeholder while I fill out your your official license. The official license and lossless WAV audio file should arrive in your email inbox within 5 business days.
  • For hight budget projects like television, theatrical films, trailers, advertising, marketing campaigns, or branding CONTACT me directly.

  • Depending on the song, scope of the project, and legal involvement, I may refer you to my sync agency.
They handle the huge, complicated projects.

Physical CDs or downloads purchased through iTunes, Amazon, in person or any other website, including online streaming, are not royalty free and are not considered licensed for sync purposes. All music used for anything other than personal use must be licensed through this website or sync agency.

LICENSE INFO

You are applying for a direct music license to legally use my music in a project, royalty free. Thank you so much, btw!

This contract is not for broadcast television, SVOD (Netflix, Hulu, etc.), paid advertising or marketing campaigns, commercial trailers, physical distribution (DVD, Blu-Ray, CD), apps, video games, software, feature films with theatrical release, sublicensing or resale of the music.

This license is for YouTube videos, social media posts, websites, podcast episodes, small business videos, slideshows/presentations, student projects, general business location ambience**, non-commercial festival entries.

This non-exclusive license will allow you to use one of my tracks in your project worldwide and in perpetuity.

Each individual license allows you to use a single track in ONE project.
Example: One podcast episode.
Example: One YouTube video.
Example: One massage location.

If you want to use it in two YouTube videos, you need two licenses.

Each license generally costs $20.
Indie films are $50.

The license also specifies that if your project blows up and becomes widely released (like theaters, television, advertisements, etc.), we will re-negotiate a larger contract and/or royalty deal.

**If your physical business location pays for an annual ASCAP blanket license, you don't need a direct license from me to play my music in your location or venue.
